Mapping of Dyslexic Strengths

Mapping of dyslexic strengths in not a new area. A book by Ron Davis The Gift of Dyslexia presents 8 basic abilities that are a talent in a sense. Ron presents a certain common mental functions all dyslexics share:

  1. They can use the brain’s ability to alter and create perceptions (the primary ability)
  2. They are highly aware of the environment.
  3. They are more curious than average.
  4. They think mainly in pictures instead of words.
  5. They are highly intuitive and insightful.
  6. They think and perceive multi-dimensionally (using all the senses).
  7. They can experience thought as reality.
  8. They have vivid imaginations.

Dyslexia is still a difficulty because the world we live in relies on text

Reading is important. We all know that. But to explore all positive sides we need to empower them to develop their full potential in education and workplaces.

It helps parents, teachers and speech therapists.
